The Kpopalypse 2024 Objectification Survey results part 1 of 4 – best FEMALE BOOBS and MALE TORSO/ABS in k-pop
It’s that time of the year again – time to objectify your favourite idols yet again in the Kpopalypse Objectification Survey results! Let’s take a look at the winners for 2023 in the all-important category of upper-body objectification!
Every year I write some thing here about why I do these objectification surveys for the knuckleheads who don’t get it, but honestly a list like this doesn’t require justification. In today’s k-pop landscape where k-pop fans are as conservative and brainwashed as any fundamentalist religious cult member, and conversely all the “adult” k-pop content is AI-generated slop, ugly deepfakes or terrible Photoshops, there’s a desperate need for a middle-ground of sanity where the effort that k-pop’s men and women put into their appearances is appreciated. The entire industry runs on objectification, and if you’re following k-pop in any manner at all then you’re part of it, so why not embrace it? Please enjoy the following post where Kpopalypse readers had their say in these important matters. I hope the incredibly explicit X-rated content here isn’t too much for you, but it shouldn’t be because it’s just exactly the same stuff that’s already on k-pop fansites.
As per previous years, voters were asked to choose up to three nominees in each category, best first, and points were allocated as per the following system:
- Your first choice was weighted 100% higher than your second choice
- Your second choice was weighted 66% higher than your third choice
- If you doubled or tripled on choices, only the first choice was counted
Scores were then tallied to give the final results across all categories.

Remember folks – that if you object to any of the choices here for any reason, you only have yourselves to blame as these were 100% your votes, not mine. Kpopalypse does not even cast a vote – these are NOT my picks but YOURS, and this isn’t like a rigged Korean TV show where the “judges” get a say and can overturn fan opinion. If you want to see a certain result, then it’s your responsibility to spread the surveys to the people who are going to vote for your faves!
On the other hand, if you object to this entire post in general, what are you even doing here? Don’t you have homework? Run along now and play with the others, don’t make me tell your parents how to access your browsing history. Oh, what… you’re staying, so you can pretend you’re “outraged” while looking at the very same pictures and videos of your bias that your own fanbases were already happily sharing with each other? Jeewon rocketed up to third place this year, propelled by an iconic Waterbomb performance plus some high-profile activity with JAV star Yuna Ogura. Conservative sex-negative fans tried to stop people from noticing but Jeewon’s smile says it all, she’s just happy to be riding the wave of success.

Did you know that Jihyo has been #1 in the upper-body part of the survey results since 2017? After seven years on top, Jihyo has finally been shunted into fourth place thanks to some stiff competition this year, but don’t let that fool you into thinking she’s no longer relevant – the points gap between her and the next few entrants is significant!

The first new entrant for picture status in 2024, Natty zoomed up in the polls this year, filling an adult-oriented niche which has been out of vogue in the k-pop space for a few years. Could Natty be the one to bring boobs back into the k-pop mainstream?

Yel is the first total newcomer to the polls. Neither her nor anyone else in H1-key has ever charted here before, but in 2024 Kpopalypse readers certainly noticed that Yel is an ‘athletic girl’!

Swan has dipped a bit in the polls this year, probably due to her agency’s inability to record her group on anything other than a mobile phone camera over the last 12 months. However she didn’t dip out of the polls completely and it’s just as well, as Swan’s body type is definitely under-represented in k-pop overall!

Wonho has of course been very busy single-handedly defending South Korea while the rest of the army takes a break, so he hasn’t had time to post any new thirst traps. Nevertheless he still managed to dominate the abs/torso category for the umpteenth time. He’s due back in September so we’ll see what he can do then, in the meantime Kpopalypse voters have been busy paying tribute to k-pop’s fitness legend!
