The Kpopalypse 2023 Objectification Survey results part 3 of 4 – best FEMALE and MALE LEGS in k-pop

It’s time for the third part of the Kpopalypse Objectification Survey results! Let’s take a look at k-pop’s best legs for 2023!

Is it true that k-pop fans really enjoy treating their favourite idols like objects? Of course they do! Just remember fans, that your bias is not an object – they are a person… with great legs! Let’s take a look at the best k-pop legs for 2023!

As per last year, voters were asked to choose up to three nominees in each category, best first, and points were allocated as per the following system:

• Your first choice was weighted 100% higher than your second choice
• Your second choice was weighted 66% higher than your third choice
• If you doubled or tripled on choices, only the first choice was counted

Scores were then tallied to give the final results across all categories.

Remember folks – that if you object to any of the choices here, you only have yourselves to blame as these were 100% your votes, not mine.  Kpopalypse does not even cast a vote – these are NOT my picks but YOURS, and this isn’t like a rigged Korean TV show where the “judges” get a say and can overturn fan opinion.  If you want to see a certain result, then it’s your responsibility to spread the surveys to the people who are going to vote for your faves!

BEST FEMALE LEGS

#1 – HWASA – MAMAMOO

Hwasa returns! This is the Mamaooo singer’s fourth time returning to the number one position in these polls, she also won this category in 2020 and 2017-2018. Mind you competition was close, with her nearest rival only a couple votes behind, so never let it be said that your vote in these surveys doesn’t matter!

#2 – TZUYU – TWICE

267 points

(2022 position – #1)

The winner for the last two years, Tzuyu was bumped from the top spot in 2023 by a very thin margin. However she’s reclaimed the top spot before, so maybe she will again… it’s all up to Kpopalypse readers!

#3 – KAZUHA – LE SSERAFIM

Kazuha’s chart position no doubt directly reflects her years of extreme hard work in maintaining her flexibility and figure, imagine failing to acknowledge or appreciate the efforts of her and others in this list. Truly, people who hate objectification of the human form are the scum of the earth, such people don’t deserve rights.

#4 – EUNHA – VIVIZ

239 points

Kpopalypse favourite Eunha dips a couple places this year due to plenty of competition, however note that the first four contenders in this poll are separated by a very small margin, 2024’s top spot could be anyone’s.

#5 – YUJIN – IVE

IVE have been getting more and more noticed by Kpopalypse readers lately, mainly due to actually having songs that don’t suck unlike a lot of other groups. I’m not sure if that correlates to Yujin’s increasing position in these polls or not, perhaps readers can verify!

#6 – ISA – STAYC

Isa is one of shock new entrants in the legs category for 2023, rocketing up into picture status for the first time, off the back of… well, actually I don’t know what… but who’s asking?

#7 – WONYOUNG – IVE

Apparently Wonyoung sometimes edits her pictures to shorten her legs, and I guess that’s because they’re hugely long – at 173cm she’s almost as tall as Kpopalypse! Surveydoers recognised this extra length and gave her an equally long position in the polls, pushing her into picture status for the first time!

#8 – KARINA – AESPA

128 points

Karina gained points across the board in the polls this year. Many readers dialled Kwangya 119 to report a theft in the legs category, as Karina made her presence felt in the top ten!

#9 – SANA – TWICE

Sana has always been a popular pick in the legs polls, and impressively retains her position from last year despite plenty of new competition.

#10 – YOOHYEON – DREAMCATCHER

I’d just like to say hello to all the Asian Junkie readers. Did IATFB vote? I don’t know, but if he did, he probably voted for Yoohyeon, and so did many of you!

#11 – SEULGI – RED VELVET

Seulgi took a bit of a dive in the polling this year, struggling to compete against newer entrants, however she still picked up plenty of votes to keep her within picture status.

#12 – YUNJIN – LE SSERAFIM

For a category that’s usually pretty stable, 2023 was a year of surprising movement. The biggest shock in the legs results this year is Le Sserafim’s Yunjin confidently strolling in out of absolutely nowhere (as shown above).

#13 – MOMO – TWICE

Momo wraps up our features in the female legs category. For those who constantly cry that the survey is ‘rigged’, if I was altering the results at all, do you really think that I would let Momo have 13th place instead of Jeongyeon? Clearly Momo’s position here is all the evidence anybody needs that I don’t tamper with the results. If you don’t like where your fave is, vote harder next time!

BEST MALE LEGS

#1 – WONHO

Are we shocked to see Wonho scoop the legs category yet again by a margin even bigger than the gap between his inner thigh and his shorts? Probably not. The reason why scores are so low in the legs category this year is because Wonho’s legs gobbled up the majority of the points, not leaving much else left to go around!

#2 – SHINDONG – SUPER JUNIOR

Shindong has been working hard on his exercise bike this year to increase his lead in the legs category – can he ever beat Wonho? Well he’s sure beating everybody else! Maybe it’ll be his time to shine one day.

#3 – JUNGKOOK – BTS

BTS might be not much to write home about musically of late, but one place where they continue to score well on Kpopalypse lists is the legs category. Jungkook moved up several places this year.

#4 – DK – SEVENTEEN

120 points

DK from Seventeen also improved his position in 2023. Pledis might still have no clue about much of anything, but they still know how to have staff who can rank in the legs category!

#5 – KAI – EXO

If every EXO fan who tried to dogpile Kpopalypse this year over negative reviews actually took the time to vote in the survey instead, Kai would have easily beaten Wonho. Unfortunately for people who appreciate Kai’s legs, his fans aren’t proactive in the ways which matter most, so he’ll have to settle for fifth place.

#6 – LEE KNOW – STRAY KIDS

Lee Know also dropped a spot but still remains in the top scorers for the legs category. Maybe he needs to borrow some of this CEO’s plastic pants to ascend the charts again.

#7 – TAEMIN – SHINEE

Like a lot of SM Entertainment artists, Taemin is very fanservice-unfriendly, very rarely showing any leg in performances. It certainly makes finding images of him year after year for these polls tough! Presumably some of you out there still have enough information about his legs to confidently vote for him.

Yeonjun climbs a spot this year. He’s paving his way through the top ten!

Haechan was #2 last year, I’m not sure what he did this time around to take such a dive in the results. Clearly there are not enough shorts being worn by SM employees.

The male legs category saw a lot less movement than the females this year, with all the main favourites just shuffling their positions around somewhat. However there were still some surprises, and one of them was Seventeen’s Mingyu scraping into the top ten!

#11 – WOW – A.C.E

Wow was #1 in 2020 but has slipped a lot since then, and I think it’s mainly due to his group not really keeping up the fanservice (hence why I have to keep using old images and video of him these days). He has the potential to climb again as we know.

#12 – JOHNNY – NCT

Johnny drops a couple spots this year, and I’m not sure why because NCT have been pretty active. Maybe it’s the lack of skin exposure, a normal thing at SM Entertainment it seems.

#13 – MINHYUK – BTOB

Minhyuk rocketed up in the legs category, and maybe it was due to Waterbomb, but then he didn’t even show any leg at Waterbomb? Maybe people just ‘felt’ the presence of his legs through his pants or something. Anyway, that wraps up the legs category for 2023!
