Jung Ho Yeon Won The Best Actress Award For Squid Game In The American Actors Guild Awards

Actor Jung Ho Yeon, who debuted in Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’, won the Best Actress Award at the American Actors Guild Awards.

On the morning of February 28, the American Actors Guild Awards was held in Santa Monica, California, USA.

Jung Ho Yeon, who competed with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon of ‘Morning Show’, Elizabeth Moss of ‘The Handmaiden’s Tale’, and Sarah Snook of ‘Succession’, won the Best Actress award that day.

Jung Ho Yeon went up to the stage with an expression of disbelief when her name was called.

She cried and said, “Thank you so much. I’ve seen many actors here as spectators, but I’ve always dreamed of becoming an actor while watching them. It’s a great honor to be here.”

At this awards ceremony, ‘Squid Game’ was also selected as the ‘Best Stunt Ensemble Award’, an award given to actors and works with the best action acting.

It was the first time a non-English-speaking TV series has won an award, and it received a warm round of applause.

Lee Jung Jae was also the first Asian male actor to win the Best Actor award at the awards ceremony.

On the other hand, ‘Squid Game’ is a drama in which people who have a lot of debt risk their lives to win 45.6 billion won in a game of memories.
