Plot synopsis: Working as an idol in Honey Popcorn was definitely harder than Yua expected, resulting in multiple hospital visits due to fainting onstage trying to keep up with Apink’s impossibly high standards. However one day Yua noticed that Wonho was in the same ward as her, suffering from the same fatigue. Could her ex be an unexpected ally in future industrial action, or will the wounds of their old relationship resurface?
Dramatic impact: lots of starchy white uniforms in this medical drama

Is her trust misplaced or is Seungri truly the honourable man of her dreams?

Plot synopsis: This video starts off with Yua Mikami announcing her retirement from the Korean drama scene. When asked about her motivations, she replies “I’ll never be able to dominate the k-pop world with Honey Popcorn and beat those Apink bitches in the Kpopalypse most fappable lists if I continue to have such a busy drama schedule.” However will Yua be able to stage a convincing return to form as a Korean idol at this late stage?
Dramatic impact: not much of a comeback, but there’s still plenty of ‘come’ and plenty of ‘back’

Yua Mikami, Arata Arina And Minami Aizawa – SSIS-698
Plot synopsis: Since the other Honey Popcorn members showed no interest in staging a k-pop comeback, Yua teamed up with two new friends from the drama world, Arata and Minami. “Are we really going to beat Apink and dominate the charts? Do I need to learn to sing?” asks Arata. “Is it true that Korean pop starts make tons of money even on their first release? When can I afford my own apartment in Seoul?” asks Minami. “Just keep practicing the dances,” says Yua, thinking about the ticking time bomb that she’s now set – what will happen when the other two girls find out the harsh reality of life as a k-pop?
Dramatic impact: the music is a bit drab but at least the team has all the athleticism and flexibility of the original Honey Popcorn

Plot synopsis: Teary-eyed after attending k-pop producer Shinsadong Tiger’s funeral, Yua pays a heartfelt tribute by going for one final ride on the Shinsadong Tiger Bangbus, a vehicle which has helped so many idols get laid in secret over the years.
Dramatic impact: it’s certainly a tear-jerker… or at least a jerker…

Real one-on-one! 20 hours with Yua Mikami in a certain place in Tokyo during a real reverse-rape date – SSIS-777
Plot synopsis: Yua is inspired by an early BTS video to adopt some Megalia style “mirroring”, and repeatedly pesters some random man walking down the street who just wants her to go away.
Dramatic impact: a touching story of friendship, romance, and just a hint of classy-sexiness.
Kpopalypse drama rating: 6/10 solved equations
Because I’m retiring soon… Yua Mikami becomes your girlfriend to help with your daily release, loving you in a subjective video for ultimate masturbation support – SSIS-778
Plot synopsis: Yua discovers that #cumtribute is trending on her social network of choice for the third time this week, and takes a look at the hashtag only to discover that people are fapping to Apink and not her. Determined to do something to reverse this trend, she files a report with the social network’s Trust And Safety Team for explicit content. That’ll show ’em… but did Yua just ban a bunch of her own biggest fans?
Dramatic impact: this drama eases you into the action gently, which isn’t a bad thing – as they say, “everything in moderation, including social network moderation”

Upon further investigation, she realises that Kpopalypse’s computer games have been banned from itch.io for violation of adult content policies. You has a sudden feeling of dread – does this mean that a computer game that only ever fades to black whenever there is sex may actually be hotter than her entire drama career?
Dramatic impact: Chuu and Yves outsold, at least in my imagination

Plot synopsis: After seeing the runaway success of Lovelyz, Yua gets together with seven other pals from the drama scene for a shot at a Lovelyz concept group. However Yua is dismayed when the other girls turn up to the shoot wearing nothing but bikinis and holding buttplugs. “We did our research, isn’t this what you wanted?” asks a confused Tsukasa Aoi. “Yes, but not those websites…” Yua replies. She thanked her supporters and said that over her seven years of productivity she had achieved all her aims in the drama world and was keen to move on to trying new things. Kpopoalypse thanks Moko Sakura for her valuable contributions to Honey Popcorn and this website, and wishes Moko well on her future path!

Plot synopsis: “Do I really have to wear these stupid bunny ears?” asks Moko. “Yes, it’s what the customers want,” replies head waitress Eunjung. “We all have to wear them, you’re no exception.” “But I don’t want to attract furries! The are weird and their suits are always stinky!” “Have you seen how much money those people spend on art commissions? I know it’s not fun but trust me, we need the income. Just put on the fucking bunny ears.” Moko didn’t know working at the Bunny Style restaurant would be this humiliating, can she come up with a plan to make her working conditions tolerable, without losing her coveted position as “employee most likely to stan OT6 T-ara”?
Dramatic impact: actually it’s only really Moko wearing the fur, which is a shame because otherwise it would have been way funnier

Plot synopsis: Armed with the trufax from Kpopalypse.com, Officer Moko turns up at YG headquarters, gun in hand, ready to sort out the mess that is the Burning Sun scandal and put some evildoers behind bars. However she arrives to find that there’s nothing here but a document-shredding truck carting away all the evidence, and a golden phone with the SIM card missing. Someone obviously tipped them off that the police were coming, but who and why?
Dramatic impact: gives new meaning to the term “inside job”

Plot synopsis: Moko invests heavily at the nearby department store deciding on the best outfits to give her an advantageous position in the upcoming Kpopalypse Fashion Class episodes, featuring office wear and glasses. The other staff in the office continue to ask her to perform at Waterbomb, but surely they should know that Moko isn’t that kind of girl, she cares way more about the environment than that…
Dramatic impact: definitely one for the photocopier room

Plot synopsis: “Why do I have to wear white?” Moko asks. “It’s to symbolise purity and innocence, it’s the only way we can truly beat Apink on the Kpopalypse most fappable MV list” says Yua. Moko storms off in a huff, she just wants her colour preference respected, but Yua’s all about tapping into that NewJeans market these days, there may not even be a Honey Popcorn comeback at this rate. Can Yua and Moko resolve their differences?

Plot synopsis: “Hey Moko, come and check out this cool computer game!” Moko looks over Kim Hyun Joong’s shoulder and notices that he’s playing Diablo 4. Sure, the game looks like fun, but could this be a trap to lure her away from k-pop idol stardom and into the NEET life? And what’s with all the furniture with the really sharp edges in his flat, does Kim Hyun Joong have no regard for his own safety?
Dramatic impact: there’s nothing quite like the impact of banging your knee on Kim Hyun Joong’s coffee table

Plot synopsis: Moko Sakura has had enough of Yua Mikami’s bossiness, obsession with the Kpopalypse fap lists, and hatred of Apink, so she decides to strike out with her own new trio. However the other girls have different ideas when they decide to bring a boy along to group dance rehearsal. “Why can’t we make it a co-ed group?” they ask. “I’m not so sure, don’t all co-ed groups flop?” replies Moko. Sure, Felix seems like a nice enough boy but Moko has heard he’s an Australian cunt and those types, you have to watch them.
Dramatic impact: she’ll be right, mate

Plot synopsis: In the mood for a bit of masochism, Moko goes to Lee Soo Man’s house. “I’ve heard how you treat your idols, please punish me as well, oppa! I’ll pay!” she says while bowing. Lee Soo Man is shocked, but lets Moko inside the house anyway. Since she knows SM Entertainment’s secrets, it’s probably best to keep her on the inside where he can control her, or so he thinks. Will Lee Soo Man assert contractual domination, or will Moko have the last laugh?
Dramatic impact: as it turns out watching a slave contract isn’t much more fun than being in one

The Battle for the Pure Virgin Maid by Greedy Lesbian Sisters – ATID-584
Plot synopsis: Moko Sakura’s new trio idol group gets ready for their debut stage but there’s a problem – Yua Mikami has started an eight-member Lovelyz clone group full of much more objectively hot women. The other girls are despondent about the increased competition, but Moko is optimistic. “Don’t worry, Kpopalypse likes weird stuff, he probably isn’t even into Yua Mikami but is just making it all up for a website meme.”
Dramatic impact: well, at least it gave me some ideas for my next book
